Not every zone is worth the same, and this one says so with a number.

Each zone is scored out of a hundred: how much volume built it, how price reacted on arrival, whether delta agreed, and whether it lands on a reference level. Then it keeps the best ones.

Volume Zones
Support and resistance zones scored out of 100 on volume, reaction and delta, with an A, B or C grade, accumulated touches and confluence with key levels. NinjaTrader 8.

Score and grade

A number out of a hundred and a letter: A, B or C. It decides which zones are worth drawing and which do not deserve the space.

Touches add up

A zone price has respected three times is worth more than an untouched one. The counter sits in the label, and it slows the zone's ageing.

Confluence with levels

If the zone lands on a reference level —yesterday's low, the opening range— the label says so and the score goes up.

Zones over price

Blue above and red below, with intensity following the score.

What each label says

Grade and score, accumulated touches as 'x2', and confluence: +PDL, +ORH, +ONL. Those are Key Levels tags, so the two tools talk to each other.

What each term means

The names the indicator uses, and what each one means.

  • Grade A · B · C. The zone's quality tier, from its score.
  • Score. 0 to 100, combining volume, reaction, delta and confluence.
  • x2 · x3. How many times price has returned and respected the zone.
  • +PDL · +ORH · +ONL. Confluence with a key level: previous day low, opening range, overnight low.
  • Break. Price crosses the zone completely.
  • Retest. It comes back to the zone after breaking it, now from the other side.
