The session profile
With VPOC, VAH and VAL labelled, and the zones named: tail, HVN, LVN and poor extreme.
Price passes through many places and stays in few. The profile splits volume by price and shows where it piled up: the point of control, the area holding most of it, and the gaps the market ran straight through.
By session, by day, rolling over N days or N minutes, from a given hour, the whole chart or just what is visible. Every question needs its own frame.
HVNs are the prices where volume bunched up; LVNs are where it ran through. They are marked without you hunting for them.
The same profile can be built from total volume or from the imbalance between buyers and sellers.
With VPOC, VAH and VAL labelled, and the zones named: tail, HVN, LVN and poor extreme.
The same profile laying the imbalance over the volume, to see which side each level came from.
Several days in one, with HVNs and LVNs projected over price as references.
Up close, every row with its figure: how much volume and what delta traded at that exact price.
